Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Reach the Delhi-based Indira Gandhi International Airport. Our agent will meet you and take you to your hotel so you can check in. After your trip, give yourself some time to unwind and rejuvenate. Start your tour of Delhi by going to India Gate, a war memorial erected in honour of Indian soldiers. See examples of British colonial architecture as you pass the Parliament House and the Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan). Later on, you might explore Connaught Place, a busy area popular for dining and shopping.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
See the magnificent Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, first thing in the morning, and then take a tour of Jama Masjid, one of India's biggest mosques. Experience the colourful lanes of Chandni Chowk, a famed marketplace, while riding a rickshaw. See Qutub Minar, the world's highest brick minaret and another UNESCO World Heritage monument. Proceed to the magnificent specimen of Mughal architecture, Humayun's Tomb, which served as the model for the Taj Mahal. Visit the Lotus Temple, which is renowned for its distinctive lotus-shaped architecture and tranquil atmosphere, to cap off your afternoon. Enjoy a free evening at your hotel or, if you'd like, take in the Red Fort's nighttime light and sound spectacular.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra
Drive to Agra (about 4-5 hours) after breakfast. When you get there, check into your hotel. Take a tour of the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its opulent halls, gardens, and palaces that highlight Mughal architecture. Take in the breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal as the sun sets. Emperor Shah Jahan constructed the white marble mausoleum known as the Taj Mahal in honour of his adored wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is currently included as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The monument exudes a calm and romantic ambiance due to the sunset vista.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur
You can choose to return to the Taj Mahal at daybreak to take in its splendour in the early morning light. Drive to Jaipur (around 4-5 hours) after breakfast, making a detour at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Fatehpur Sikri. Explore the well-preserved Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, and Buland Darwaza, among the other remnants of this old Mughal capital. Proceed on your way to Jaipur by car. After arriving, settle into your accommodation and unwind. Explore Jaipur's local bazaars in the evening. These places are well-known for their traditional textiles, jewellery, and handicrafts.
Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing
Visit Amber Fort first thing in the morning. It's perched on a mountaintop with a view of Maota Lake. Take a jeep or elephant ride to reach the fort entrance. Discover the fort's elaborate architecture, exquisite residences, and lovely courtyards. Explore the City Palace, a palace turned museum that houses treasures from Jaipur's regal past. Explore Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site and astronomical observatory, which is close by. Visit the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), which is renowned for its distinctive façade that has a large number of tiny windows. You can also choose to go to a traditional Rajasthani cultural presentation, which includes dance and music performances, and then have a Rajasthani meal.
Day 6: Jaipur to Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar after breakfast (it will take about two to three hours). The tranquil village of Pushkar is well-known for the Brahma Temple and its holy lake. After checking into your hotel, proceed to the well-known Brahma Temple, one of the few shrines honouring Hinduism's creator deity Brahma. Proceed to Pushkar Lake, where you may observe pilgrims performing their rituals and take in the serene atmosphere. Explore Pushkar's neighbourhood bazaars, which provide a wide selection of apparel, souvenirs, and handicrafts. Savour the tranquil surroundings and the town's spiritual atmosphere.
Day 7: Pushkar to Delhi
After breakfast, take some time to relax or explore more of the area's attractions, like the Savitri Temple, which is perched on a hilltop and provides sweeping views of Pushkar and the surrounding area. Return by car to Delhi (it would take about 6-7 hours). After reaching Delhi, make your way to the airport to continue your travels. Before leaving, if time allowed, you might enjoy a goodbye meal in Delhi.
